SSD bracket

Have a Dell Insperion 660.

Try to install a Samsung 840 pro SSD.

I know I need a 2 /1/2" to 3 1/2" convertor bracket. I tried two different brands and cant get one to work. One hit the bottom of the old HD. But with both the power cable will not reach to the new drive if still plugged into the old.

What do I need to make this work.
