Hard disk problem or fan?

My laptop is 3 years old out of warranty now. Today morning suddenly I heard a noise and as my hand was under the laptop i could feel it as it made the noise.. like kat kat kat for a few seconds. I was also repeated a number of times as I tilted the laptop or moved it. I felt (by the sound) that something must be creating an obstacle as it was moving ..
I called the tech support and they told me it can be the hard disk also or any other reason, so I started the Dell diagnostic.

The dell diagnostic is showing the fan tests are "passed" but it showed a number of error codes related to hard disk

0F00"133C No suitable disk media present
0F00:0632 Interrupt request IRQ did not set in time; 0F00:0D32 Interrupt request IRQ did not set in time; 0F00:0E32 Interrupt request IRQ did not set in time; (for a number of blocks and it was taking more than 7 hours  so I had to abort the tests)

Additionally, I have had no problem running the machine till now, even now, except that now the air coming out of the ducts are not that much as earlier as it used to be, sometimes no air is coming out, by the sound it seems that the fan is getting stopped.

Can anyone advice what is the problem
