I need to know if there is a updated firmware available from Dell for ST3500418AS drives that were provided in some Dell systems (XPS 630, Optiplex 980s, etc). It's listed as Dell part# H643R in the system configuration components list.
I would like to get something that is firmware CC44 or newer.
Seagate has a newer firmware available from their site, but it won't work with the drive I'm trying to update. Their technical support says they can't help me since the drive was provided with a Dell machine.
