I have a Dell Studio 1747 with a CD/DVD Drive which doesn't read or eject disks, doesn't show in windows explorer on the left sidebar under Computer it shows in Device Manager under DVD/CD-ROM drives with a yellow triangle question mark is Optiarc DVD+RW AD-7640S ATA Device. I have uninstalled and restarted my computer which windows reinstalls the driver at startup. I have followed this support page up to Resolution 4 which I didn't reinstall a download driver from another site. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 I have updated the CD/DVD driver from the Windows 7 troubleshooter through Device Manager: DVD/CD-ROM drives/ Optiarc DVD+RW AD-7640S ATA Device right click and choose properties, on the Driver tab clicked Update Driver which selected Automatically for updated driver software through the troubleshooter and says Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date CD-ROM Drive . I have updated the Quickset which shows the eject icon when pressing it. It ejects the disk only at startup. Any solutions to this?
