I have an older 8100 with BIOS A09, a cdrom that came with the machine and a dvd rw drive that i added myself. Both drives work.
Now i would like to boot from one of the optical drives, but there is no option to boot from a cdrom on the boot menu (F12) nor is there a way in the BIOS setup(F2) to enable a cdrom, or any other optical device, that I can see.
I have reset the bios, to no avail. It simply doesn't find the drives (both are IDE, not SATA). I haven't found any other suggestions.
Is there anyway to fix this situation or am i just dead in the water?
