Cannot install new SSD

Hi All,

I recently bought a new Alienware 17 R5 and am very much loving it. However I tried to install a new SSD drive to it and came across a problem. It will recognise the disk in BIOS and I do have a recovery disk which I thought would work but when I get to the actual part where I press install to install windows 8 it comes up with a strange media driver error. I have never seen this before and I have installed many drives in  the past.

Has anyone come across this error before. Apologies if the error isnt 100% accurate, I am posting from a different machine.

"Load Driver

A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB, or Hard disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now.

Note: If the installation media for Windows in the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step."

So again, I am trying to install from the recovery DVD onto a new Vertex 2 100GB SSD.

Thanks All

James
