I bought a 4TB WD Caviar Black 4TB drive for data storage only, no OS. I am running Windows 7 Pro and initialized the drive as a GPT drive. Disk Manager only sees the drive as 2TB in size.
My Studio XPS 435T uses the Intel ICH10R chipset, which is running the MS driver installed when W7 was installed. Intel doesn't show an updated driver for this chipset. I found this post about running a newer driver that with a workaround can work with this chipset and might fix the problem. Read the last post in this discussion:

My system has the Jmicron JMB36X storage controller. I don't think this is the issue.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
