I have a brand new XPS8700 with one optical drive installed. I asked for a second drive and Dell would not install it. They sent it to me for me to install.. I have figured out how to get it into the chassis and I used the same power cord that goes to the first optical drive as there is another power connection on that power cable. I hope got it right side up.. LOL
But where do I plug the second DATA cable? SATA 0 and SATA 1 are in use by the hard drive and the first optical drive leaving SATA 2 and SATA 3 free..and also SATA 4 Which one do I plug the second optical drive into? Thanks
