I got my XPS 15 yesterday. It is pre-loaded with WIN8. When the second time I start the computer, I got this message:"Your system does not appear to have Intel Rapid Start Technology enabled".
I tried to fix this problem following the instruction from Dell support center. In the BIOS menu, I have two options:"AHCI"&"INTEL SMART RESPONSE TECHNOLOGY". I choose the later one, which is the default.
Then there is the problem. In the step of "Shrink the partition volume", there's a note in the instruction that says:"Memory configurations and partition sizes larger than 8192 MB/8 GB are not validated by Dell and may cause an increase in the time it takes to wake the system." I have a 16GB memory(128GB SSD+1TB HDD). Does this mean I will slow the system down with the Rapid Start Technology?! It's hard to believe. Why is that?
