Somebody gave a Dell Dimension E520 that had missing parts, including the power supply. I was able to put it together using some part that I had from other computers. I got the computer to work up to the Bios options. I can change anything on the bios except for the boot error options, when get to that option it will not let me clear the options. when I try to boot it will not display boot options nor will it give any errors it just locks up on the that boot screen. If I press F12, for boot options it not show the options will just display the the boot screen (where it searchs for boot drives), but does not give any errors it just lockups up. I have already clear the bios, but I still run into the same problem. I am thinking it may be a corrupted bios. Has anybody ran into this kind of problem ? Can the bios be reset (flashed) on this computer ? If so how can it be done since the it does want to boot from any device ?
