Greetings,
Dell 790 TD with i5 2500 with Kingston Savage 480 ssd.
Intermittently the machine goes into a no hard drive found error screen with the usual choices F1 to continue, F2 to go into setup and diagnostics.
If you reboot the machine it finds the hard drive and boots into Windows.
If you go into bios and exit, it will boot into Windows...I guess essentially also a reboot.
When i put back the mechanical drive, no issue.
Put a Crucial M500 240 in the dell 790 as a test, no errors.
Put the Kingston savage 480 in a laptop, no errors.
My best guess here is the bios (A18) in the dell 790 doesn't like the Kingston Savage 480 ssd i want to use. The firmware of the Kingston ssd is up to date.
Any ideas?
