I am planning to buy E7470 which comes with 128gb SSD as the basic config. I would like to replace the basic 128gb SSD with a 1tb SSD. My questions are as follows:
1) If I buy the 1tb SSD drive directly from Dell, remove the 128gb SSD and install the 1tb by myself, what impact will this process have on my Dell warranty, assuming that no damage occurs as a result of the SSD replacement?

If later on my E7470 fails, will Dell tech still analyze the entire system including the new Dell 1tb SSD as a whole, or will I have to swap back in the original 128gb SSD in order to receive Dell warranty service since the 1tb is not part of the original config?
2) If I buy a 1tb SSD from a third party (eg. Amazon) and install it myself, what impact will this process have on my Dell warranty, assuming that no damage occurs as a result of the SSD installation?
If later on my E7470 fails, while I understand that the non-Dell SSD wouldn’t be looked at, will Dell tech still analyze the failing components (eg. flickering screen)? Or will I have to swap back in the original 128gb SSD before I can receive any Dell warranty service at all?
3) Is there any way I can add the 1tb SSD on top of the 128gb SSD, keeping both drives in use? A E7440 owner successfully accomplished this, by connecting the MSATA SSD to the MSATA WWAN port as the boot HDD, and using a second HDD within the SATA slot:
Has anyone done this for E7470?
4) Does the E7470 system support a SSD drive with a capacity of 1tb? I don’t see why not as older systems already support 1tb SSDs, but just want to make sure.
