Hi, I have a Inspiron 17 5758 laptop, which I bought October 2015. Can some one tell me which brand & speed of DVD's they use, as I have never been able to record on any of mine with this laptop. Except once, I had one different brand 10 pack I think it was, which worked perfectly. Unfortunately these were lost during a recent house move and I can't remember what they were. Might have been "Mr DVD" something or other. IIRC they could not be recorded on by any other machine I've got, including DVD recorders, but they did on this.
At the moment if I want to save files onto a DVD I have to put them onto a USB stick which I can then transfer to my old Vista machine and do it with that.
Just to confirm the DVD drive reads all discs perfectly, and DID burn those lost ones with no problems so I know it works OK.
