my computer crashed yesterday and after running a check I got an error message code 2000-0142. When I looked it up it said that my hard drive is failing. I tried getting into F8 on reboot to repair, but my computer goes into this endless "diagnosing your PC" and does nothing. I bought a new hard drive and installed it but when I tried to install the OS using the disk Dell provided I realized that there was no activation code with it. I checked all of the paperwork and other discs that came with system and no code there either. Where do I find the code. My system is a dell 8500 [Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy]
