Dell Inspiron with 4 TB External HD

I have an Inspiron 570 with Win 7 Professional 64bit SP1 and I am considering buying a WD Elements 4TB Desktop HDD to use with it. I am aware of the old 2TB limit for Windows but I gather from the Microsoft article KB2581408 that I should be able to use a 4TB drive if I initialize it as GPT. However, I also understand from the same article that there may still be problems and that I should ask the advice of the OEM, Dell in this case, as to whether the drive would work.

This is what I am now doing; specifically, would a WD Elements 4TB Desktop HDD work with my Inspiron 570 and, if so, how do I go about ensuring that they will successfully work together.
