Removing a 2.5" SSD from the screwless caddy used in Precision T5810

I need to remove a 2.5" SSD drive from a screwless caddy (used in a Precision T5810), and I'm worried that I'm going to break the caddy if I don't get any help with this. Here's what the caddy looks like without the drive in it:

The problem is those black rubber fasteners with the metal pin in them. They hold the drive in place without screws, but I see no way to pull them out. The two rubber fasteners at the top in this picture can be pushed down because of the cutout in the blue plastic they are attached to. Unfortunately, the metal pins go far too deep into the drive, so it seems impossible to bend the blue plastic far enough to free the drive without breaking the caddy. Any tips extract the drive safely would be greatly appreciated.
