I have a I620 desktop system I purchased in which the 1 TB drive fryed (click of death). I ordered the OS disk for my machine from dell support and have replaced my hd with a known good Seagate 120gb drive.
Problem is the system does not see the new drive .... I was under the impression the disk from dell support had all the drivers for my system... correct? So why does my system see the old drive but not the replacement drive(120gb Seagate... known good). Is dell doing something funky with the drives?
I see no drivers on the Seagate site for the drive....so why does my system not see the drive?
