Recently purchased the above Precision Workstation . It came with a DVD Reader only. I have since taken that out and installed two Samsung or TSST Corp SH-224DB CD/DVDW Drives. As mentioned in the subject heading the copy and write process is slow beyond belief. I have spent many hours on the internet searching for the likely source of the problem. This morning I decided to reverse the drive procedure on my software program 1 Click DVD Pro and ended up with an even slower result of 1Hr. 53 Mins.ie. 1Hr 20 Mins longer than my Laptop .The Desktop system is running Windows 7( Pro Version) with the latest updates and both machines are using the same Copy Software . The Laptop also has Windows 7 ( Home Edition ) The T5500 Desktop is an 8 Core running 48Gb of memory and a 2TB HD.
Can someone please assist me.
