I have a new Inspiron 15z running Win 8, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM. I have a questions about partitions on my disk. The Disk Manager indicates several hidden partitions I don't know the purpose of:
500 MB - EFI System partition
40 MB - OEM partition
500 MB - Recovery partition
8,01 GB - Primary partition
12,23 GB - Recovery partition
I'm guessing the 8GB partition is for storing the content of RAM when hibernating and the 12GB recovery partition for reinstalling Windows. But what's the OEM and why another recovery partition (only 500MB)?
I'd appreciate if anyone could explain it to me. Thanks.
