Dell Studio XPS 7100 ODD Removal

Hey guys, was going to swap the ODD in the 7100 over to my mom's new computer. I only use the 7100 for hosting a small media server, and have no use for the ODD. I should also point out that i'm not new to computers at all, and actually built my mother's. However, the 7100 appears to have the ODD *** in from both sides, and of course the other side of the case isn't intended to come off. Is there a way to remove it, or do i need to break the case to do so?
