So ive had this mouse for 3 years or so no problems and the other day I needed to work off a laptop I messed up and i took out my mouse from the USB port while my computer was on then later put it back in while the computer was still on and now I have a mouse that works when it feels like it. the mouse will be working then it will get disconnected and then it will work so on and so on. Ill get an error message that my usb doesn't recognize the device. Using my mouse for 1 minute results in it working and not working about 10 times within that time frame.
I tried updating the drivers, unistalling the intellipoint software and then reinstalling the software. I'm at a loss. the usb ports work for other devices without a problem just not my mouse. do i need a new mouse? is there something i need to do about my usb? I'm at a loss.
