My machine ran into a problem with the original hsrd drive and since all the data [and programs are still on the drive] I figured I would get a new drive and and install windows 7 on it and have the files available on the second drive and take my time getting everything back to "normal".
I installed the new drive and it is recognized at the boot level as two drives. Since the drives are handled by the Perc H310 controller there is no place to install Windows 7. The Windows install asks for the driver files to access the drives. I've gone through and downloaded all the available files for the system and have them on a CD but I have no idea which files has the required driver files.
I've deduced that it is in one of four areas
SAS Drives
SAS Raid
Serial ATA
Storage controller
Has anyone ran into this or does anyone know how to proceed.? I have currently only 1 drive in the system and want to do a clean window 7 Pro Install from the Recovery Disk I got with the machine
