I need to clone my existing hard drive (System XPS One 27 2 tb 8gm Intel i7 Win 8.1 Pro) as the hard drive is giving me a failure message using the Dell Diagnostics. Dell is willing to replace the drive under warranty with a clean install but this leaves me with a lot of work to get to where I am now. I have connected a 2 tb drive using USB port but apparently it is not compatible. I believe that I need to directly connect to an internal SATA port (if there is a spare) to do this. Can anyone suggest a way to use the external USB so I can just swap out the drive (or any other means) after I clone with "Reflect" . If not can any describe another method? I believe I could use an other computer by attaching the existing drive and my new drive to two internat sata ports.
Thank you!
