I have a Vostro 3560 laptop, used for a little more than a year, its configuration is:
SSD (32 GB): Ubuntu 14.04 (1 partition only)
HDD (1 TB):
1. Windows 8.1 + School files + some music (NTFS, non-encrypted partition)
2. Some videos and self-written programs (ext4, non-encrypted)
3. Encrypted file system
Today, the SSD died on me without prior warning. It seems to me that Ubuntu became non-bootable, while Windows 8.1 continues to work.
Do SSDs die without warning? I mean, at least it should have shown an error or two a few days before its death.
