Dell Inspiron 6000 running XP Home. Upgraded RAM from 500 MG to 2 GIG. While I had the battery out I removed the hard drive to have a look and put it back. Reinstalled the battery and computer would not turn on. When power button is pushed, power light and hard drive light come on as well as keyboard caps "A" light. Screen never lights - comes on. Hard drive light goes out and keyboard caps light blinks nine (9) times. Then everything turns off. Have reinstalled the old RAM - no difference. Have removed the hard drive and reinstalled - no difference.
Did notice that there didn't seem to be any receptical for the power pins on the hard drive, only the 22 pin block. But, the system did work before I started.
